England will aim to complete a 3-0 whitewash over the West Indies when both sides meet in the third and final ODI at the Oval in London. With the series already decided, West Indies will look to end the ODI leg with a win that will give them crucial ranking points ahead of the ODI World Cup in 2027.

‌England and West Indies will step out at the Oval with different boxes to tick when they meet in the third and final ODI in London on Tuesday. England will look to end the series on a high with a dominant whitewash while the visitors will eye a consolation win and gain crucial ranking points in their bid for an automatic qualification for the ODI World Cup in 2027.

England are clear favourites for another win after their clinical display in the last two matches. Joe Root looks in ominous form for the home side with a century and a fifty in the two matches to amass 223 runs at an average of 223.00 and a strike rate of 109.31. During his unbeaten 166 in the last match, he also crossed the 7000-run mark in his ODI career and is expected to continue his merry run in the last game too. For the Windies, last-match centurion Keacy Carty is on top of their run charts with 125 runs while Shai Hope and Brandon King also scored half-centuries.

On the bowling front, Saqib Mahmood and Adil Rashid have shared the spoils for the home side with six wickets each in their two outings while pacer Alzarri Joseph has been the lone bright spot for the visitors with six wickets, including a 4/31 in a losing cause in the last match. Though Jayden Seales has also picked up five wickets, he has proved expensive with an economy rate of 7.43.

West Indies need to come up with a collective display on both the batting as well as the bowling fronts to stop this well-oiled England outfit from completing a clean sweep.

Pitch and Conditions

The Oval is expected to dish out a flat track that will see both teams scoring big yet again after their 300-plus innings in the last match on Sunday. The Oval has been a high-scoring venue in the recent past with three of the last five matches witnessing at least one team posting more than 300 runs. However, the bowlers will get support early on with overcast and swinging conditions proving a handful for the willow wielders.

There are high chances that the game might get affected due to rain with the probability of precipitation going up to 81% during the day. Temperatures will hover around the 18-degree mark with massive cloud cover throughout. The forecast for the evening looks better with temperature falling to 10 degrees and chances of rain fading to just 7%.
