Arsenal are in talks to sign free-agent forward Leroy Sané, whose Bayern Munich contract ends soon. Sporting director Andrea Berta is also pursuing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, valued at £92.5 million. Arsenal aim to strengthen their attack after Raheem Sterling’s return to Chelsea and are eyeing other targets including Viktor Gyokeres and Martín Zubimendi.
In the upcoming summer transfer window, Arsenal are actively pursuing key signings to strengthen their squad. The club has made inquiries about Leroy Sané, the German forward whose contract with Bayern Munich expires next month. Sané, 29, is available on a free transfer and has attracted interest due to his previous successful spell at Manchester City, where he won two Premier League titles. Mikel Arteta’s prior working relationship with Sané at City could help facilitate the move.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also targeting RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, who has impressed in the Bundesliga by scoring over 20 goals this season. The 21-year-old Slovenian forward is highly rated, but Leipzig has placed a hefty £92.5 million price tag on him, reflecting his long-term contract running until 2029. Sesko’s market value rivals top strikers like Alexander Isak, who Newcastle United are keen to retain but value at over £100 million.
Other Arsenal targets include Sweden international Viktor Gyokeres, valued between £60 million and £70 million, and Real Sociedad’s Martín Zubimendi, who has a £51 million release clause. Arsenal’s loanee Raheem Sterling will return to Chelsea, opening up space for new forwards. The Premier League transfer window opens early from June 1 to 10 due to the Club World Cup, then reopens from June 16 to September 1, promising an active summer for Arsenal’s transfer dealings.
